thanks, Cody-Mon...

oddly, some folks think this is 2 separate compositions, the night and the dawn, just kludged together...

it really IS one continuous shoot, each still shot only seconds apart...
the whole trick was shooting it at JUST the right time (I got lucky, I didn't actually plan my timing for this one)...

In fact, i had no thought of catching the sunrise specifically, only of getting the shoot done with a bit of ambient light (i.e., pre-dawn) and before the night lights in the city went out for the day.

Oh i know what you mean, the timing was PERFECT, its one of those shots that you just have to be "in the right place, and the right time for" if ya know what i mean

"Happy Accident", mostly... I had about 3 mornings to line myself up with enough lead time before work to shoot it, and of course i made sure to keep the cam charged, but that's as far as any "planning" went...

to be honest, the whole point was a belated attempt to beat the pants off a (similar-POV and timing) shot that Scott Neeri
(from SBUX, remember?) had posted on his FB just before I shut down my own FB...

of course, I don't expect my panographic approach to weigh into any comparisons, as it's just how I would do it, anyway...
but i think I did mange to get something a bit more "special" than his pre-dawn shot, which really only showed what my "night light" side shows...
not that i wanna "dis" his work... hell, it inspired me to shoot this set, didn't it? fair is fair, "Props To Scott!"
