2012-09-20 JWildfire 37 - Sliced Fruit by novectors 2012-09-20 JWildfire 37 - Sliced Fruit by novectors
another session in JWildfire...

this one puts me in mind of a (strangely colored)
fruit with a slice missing... perhaps the radiant effect
represents the first splash of juice erupting from the thing...

many thanks...
honestly, I'm just playing with the software, and calling the results as I see 'em...

OK, I'll confess... the WIP known as "Fountain" is a deliberate design, based loosely on the same parameters as the "Luma Flora" series, which began as a random one-off, and grew into the series it became (all based on the params of the first)...

the rest are mainly cases of making some adjustment and suddenly seeing a "something" which ought to be rendered...

As all kind of art become actual stuff....even if it happens unconsciously.

thanks... I still haven't figured out exactly what it says to me,
but it does have a certain sort of resonance, which was why I stopped to render it
as you see it...

in a lot of ways, it's like shooting with my camera... gotta know just when to click the shutter...

yes indeed... I have screwed up a fractal way too many times by thinking "I'll just change this one little bit"

OK, that works, too...

something kept saying "persimmon on the outside, some weird citrus on the inside"...
and i just let it go at that...

it often feels somehow disrespectful of me to even post this stuff in front of folk
who actually know what they're doing with fractals, considering I have NO intention
of exploring the underlying math or abstract concepts which govern the software...

for me, it's still all about playing around with the software settings until something "jumps out" of the pixel-dance and says, "here I am, Lonnie"...
