...a proto-creature slithers up onto dry land for the first time in a young planet's history...

this is by way of a "thank you" for a multi-discipline Dev
whose support of my fractal works and photos has been of enormous value...
also, his gallery contains some wonderfully intriguing works,
most of which have given me "ideas" of one sort or another...

MANY THANKS, Jean-François Bayle [link]...

appreciated...

I kinda just used Photoshop and my own photo work
to do what the original fractal render seemed to be "telling" me to do:
give the "ocean" and "sky" much more realism,
and increase the visual "separation" of the "land" from the "water"...

effectively, the original fractal render is "intact"
only so far as the proto-creature and the dry land
upon which he now slithers...

this interpolates one of my own sunset photos [link]
as well as a LOT of Photoshop layer work to get the
water effects (which aren't perfect) and the reflection...

I wanted to keep that area of the image dark
and free of distracting details, so as to better
"sell" the rock and the reflected sunset...
(the entire piece is essentially governed by
a loose application of the "rule-of-thirds")...
