elder boughs in a summit of mist
and the unending benevolence of snow
light
let it snow let it snow let it snow
I'd love to spend a moment (or more) wrapped in the sound of those words,
sent aloft by the resonance of a soft voice
giving life to such ideas in the crisp clarity of a winter morning...
this all leads to a sort of mixed-emotional response to my own work, now...
with a few words you've managed to elevate my pic far above its original "station",
while at the same time illuminating the sort of empty, lonesome aspect in naturally contains
(having come from one who feels both keenly and perpetually)...
for the first time, I feel the solitude in the pic, simply through your sharing of thoughts...
I'm not sure I understand the mechanism at work here, but it's intriguing (and a bit unnerving, to be honest)...
I would like to find myself engaged in such exchanges MUCH more often! Many Thanx!

I think I've gotten MUCH more out of the transaction than the pic was worth before your comments...
In my mind, it has now acquired a far higher "value", at least for me...
the value was there all along
would I sound greedy (or twisted) if I asked for MORE...?
as for the rest, just call me paranoid...
it's hell tryna mind my place in a community with SO many wonderful artists
(a seemingly inordinate number of whom just happen to be females around my youngest daughter's age)...
I wish i knew a way to get intellectually "intimate" with one
without the risk of freaking someone out, or thinking of me as a perv of some sort...
my youngest was (on occasion) my only real "muse", and I miss having that quality of input now that she resides a few states away
(as i mentioned before, i do my some of my best work in the presence of other creators)...
